Of course, the Black Forest is full of clichés, but aren't they wonderful? Traditional pompom hats (Bollenhüte) and cuckoo clocks; Black Forest gateau and the sound of whooshing firs all signify tradition. They stand for a piece of an intact world, for nature and purity. We love these clichés and we live by them as well. We do this by transferring them into the present day with imagination and passion, with professionalism and a desire to serve in contemporary style at the Hofgut Sternen.

The Black Forest native is a straightforward person, a friendly host in a region where people rejoice whenever travellers stop off. For him, the world is his guest and likewise. At the Hofgut Sternen, we are excited to have visitors from all over the world. We will gladly let you enjoy the many wonders that have made the Black Forest what it is. Nature is intoxicatingly beautiful and can be rugged and wild, as in the Ravenna Gorge. It can also be sweet and gentle, as in the many valleys of the southern Black Forest. The vibrant craftwork of the region provides lifetime souvenirs and memories.
