HIKING IN THE RAVENNA GORGE
Mighty, awe-inspiring and at the same time protective, the Ravenna Gorge lies at the back of the Hofgut Sternen. The Ravennabrücke towers above it, a 36 m high viaduct on which the Höllental railway rushes past. At its feet, the wild Ravenna stream makes its way, and where it doesn’t go any further, it plunges into the depths.
Hiking in the Ravenna Gorge is a must on a Black Forest holiday. The Heimatpfad leads directly through the quaint part of the Upper Black Forest, past cascades and waterfalls, old saws, mills and even a rope factory. In winter, the Ravenna Bridge serves as the backdrop for the Christmas market and adds even more magic to the most magical time of the year.
